Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators and gauges
- Document inspection results and maintain quality records
- Flag out-of-tolerance conditions to operators and programmers promptly
- Assist with first-article inspection on new job setups
- Support root-cause discussions when nonconformances occur
Requirements
- Experience with precision measuring instruments in a machine shop environment
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T callouts
- Detail-oriented with clear, accurate documentation habits
- Comfortable working closely with machine operators and programmers
